Most people know her as Chip—a nickname from Nick that eventually became the brand. She has been barbering full time since 2013. Years of work, loyal clients, and a much bigger vision eventually grew into Chips Chop Shop.

Chip doesn’t really have a favorite service because there isn’t much she can’t do. She’s especially skilled with scissors, detailed beard work, straight-razor lineups, and facials—and she would happily convince every haircut & beard client to upgrade to The Whole Chop.

She’s mostly quiet behind the chair, but never disconnected. Chip remembers what her clients tell her: their schedule, families, jobs, problems, milestones, and whatever was happening the last time they sat down. The conversation usually picks up right where it left off.

Her clients have never been just appointments on a schedule. 

Many have been with her for years, some from the very beginning, and she plans to hold onto her day ones for as long as they still need her—and for as long as her schedule allows.

People naturally see Chip as the boss, even though Nick is every bit as involved in building and running the business. She sets the standard, watches the details, and worries constantly about doing right by the shop, the team, the clients, and most importantly - her family.

These days, her role is beginning to shift. Her online book is closed to new clients as she gradually spends less time behind the chair and more time leading the shop, developing the team, and creating space for life with Hoyt and the rest of her kids ❤️.

Her page isn’t here to compete with the other barbers. It’s here because Chips Chop Shop wouldn’t exist without the years she spent building trust—one client and one haircut at a time.

Chip is obsessed with her kids, drawn to plants and gardening, interested in natural everything, and rarely convinced that the “normal way” is automatically the right way.

She likes good food, music, movies, and dates with Nick—and she puts a lot of thought into the people, places, and things she cares about. Usually too much thought, if you ask her.
